This is a fun way to work on letter recognition and fine motor skills at the same time.
We loved the bright colours and the fuzzy texture of the felt. You can use any colours you like, but I couldn’t resist the rainbow ribbon.
What you need
Needle and thread
Cut out 26 squares of felt about 2 inches square.
Write each letter of the alphabet on each square.
Use the scissors to cut a slit in the felt big enough to fit through your button and ribbon.
Sew the edges of the ribbon down by folding over and stitching across.
Sew your buttons onto each end of the ribbon.
There you have it! Kids can go through the alphabet in order or you can call out letters for them to find and string onto the ribbon.
